WWW Wednesday #1
WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme started by Taking on a World of Words. It works like this : Each Wednesday you post the answers to three questions starting with W:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
So here we go…
What are you currently reading?
The Hive by Barry Lyga and Morgan Baden
I’m kind of stalled on this one. I need to get it read, because I owe both Edelweiss and NetGalley reviews for it, but I keep getting stuck on it.
The President is Missing by Bill Clinton and James Patterson
I’m listening to the audiobook of this one and I like it a lot so far. Now, if only Libby hadn’t put me back to the very beginning instead of leaving me 2.5 hours in like I was in the first place.
Donn’s Shadow (The Soul Searchers Mysteries #2) by Caryn Larrinaga
This is the sequel to Donn’s Hill, and I really want to get it read, but I got distracted. I do that a lot. LOL But I owe NetGalley a review for it, so I need to get it read pretty soon here.
People of the Lake by Nick Scorza
Another Edelweiss review that I need to get going on. I think the problem is the book hasn’t been the most exciting so far. I think I need to just open it up and push through it.
Dollhouse (Dark Carousel #1) by Anya Allyn
I picked this one up for free on my Nook app. It sounded like a perfect, creepy read for this time of year. I just got distracted as usual.
Two Dark Reigns (Three Dark Crowns #3) by Kendare Blake
Another book I got distracted from. It’s the third installment in the Three Dark Crowns series and I really want to get this one read because I love, love, love this series and I can’t wait to see what happens!
Year One (The Chronicles of the One #1) by Nora Roberts
I haven’t read a Nora Roberts novel in years, but I always loved her writing. This one reminds me a bit of The Stand by Stephen King but with a twist. I can’t wait to get further into it. I’m 32% of the way done and I really need to hurry and finish it because I borrowed it from the library. LOL
What did you recently finish reading?
I loved this book. It wasn’t particularly creepy or scary to me, but… the twist near the end gave me the chills. Trust me, if you haven’t, you really, really need to read this one!!
This one was a great read and pretty quick too, if you don’t get distracted by something else. I really liked it and honestly, if you want a full understanding of Donn’s Shadow, you should probably read this first, although I don’t think it is entirely necessary.
Love, love, love this book. I hope Stephanie Perkins writes more of these horror/mystery/thriller books because this was just plain awesome.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
I need to get this read because I bought it to read for the Barnes & Noble Book Club for November. But it’s been on my “I can’t wait for this book” list since I found out it was coming out. So yeah. Time to read this one.
The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys
This one is the Barnes & Noble YA Book Club book for November, so I need to get started on this one as well. I’m not quite as excited about this one as I am Ninth House, but I’m trying to get better about actually reading the book club books and attending the book club.
So there you have it, my first WWW Wednesday. Let’s see if I can keep this up! LOL
